[Model/Name] Model 201-Series
This four door, long seat commuter train was designed to replace the 103-Series. The train uses thyristor chopper control and regenerative braking for low-energy, low-power operation. Passenger facilities were upgraded and air springs were adopted to improve riding comfort. The 32-configuration (7 car configuration) is allocated at Akashi Electric Car Depot.
