Model 207-Series [Model/Name] Model 207-Series

This four door, long seat train has become the standard for JR West commuter trains. The train was introduced as a link with the Katafuku Ferry, and there are two models, the 0-Model and the 1000-Model. The body is made of stainless steel and the train has large, fixed windows. VVVF inverter control allows the train to operate at 120 km/h, and the main equipment on the 1000-Model has been standardized for compatibility with 221-Series and 223-Series trains.
