[Model/Name] Model 281-Series/Haruka
This limited express train was developed to serve as the Kansai Airport Express"Haruka". Like the 681-Series, the 281-Series uses a 1-inverter/1-motor VVVF control system. The standard configuration is 1M2T. Designed for airport users, the trains running from Kyoto have special baggage compartments for use by CAT(City Air Terminal), and each passenger car also has CAT baggage compartments. All information displays and announcements in the train are made in both English and Japanese for convenience of foreign visitors.
