[Model/Name] Model 285-Series/Sunrise Express
The "Sunrise express" sleeper train went into operation in July 1998. The debut of the "Sunrise express" shifted the image of the sleeper train from the "night" image of the Blue Train to a new image of "morning". The basic car structure is a two-story car. Private rooms are available, such as the Single-deluxe cabins equipped with televisions and wash areas and the Sunrise Twin 2-person rooms. Special Nobinobi reclining seats are also available. The interior of the private cabins are decorated with wood-based materials to create a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere.
