Rail Star [Model/Name] Shinkansen 700-series/Hikari Rail Star


In March, 2003, "Hikari Rail Star( a new version of 700 Series)"
made debut on Sanyo Shinkansen of JR West Japan which features, in
particular, upgraded roomy and comfortable reserved seats.
no-speaker-announcement in Car #4 known as "Silence Car", private
rooms for 4 persons each(Car #8). Added to these, you can be
accommodated with free baby seats. Still further, equipments inside the
cars have been upgraded to better cope with wheel-chaired passengers
Today JR , eyeing the Japan of the future, continues in its efforts to
create new railways that will meet the environmental and social needs.
