This mid-sized passenger locomotive with a total of 239 being produced from 1919 to 1928. The C51 pulled the " Tsubame " Super Express, which went into operation in 1930. This was the first locomotive
to use large 175cm drive wheels to achieve high-speed, the method was
adopted by other large locomotives that were manufactured later. The No.239
