Model C62/No.2 [Model/Name] Model C62


A total of 49 of these super-large passenger locomotives were manufactured from 1948 to 1949. Boilers from D52's were used. The C62 was famous as the locomotive that pulled the "Tsubame" Limited Express on the Tokaido Main Line and the "Niseko" Express on the Hokkaido and Hakodate Main Lines.
C622 ran a total of 2.6 million kilometers in the Itosaki and Otaru areas.
